TMC Is Celebrating Driver Appreciation Week by Paying Drivers More

Our drivers are the flat-out best. They go the extra mile every day—whether it’s keeping TMC’s Black and Chrome trucks looking impeccable on the road, providing industry-leading load securement, being courteous and professional to every customer, or delivering more than 99.8% of loads claim-free. Our drivers are known throughout the industry as the best of the best when it comes to flatbedding.
We’re proud of all the hard work our drivers do every day, and we want to say thank you to all of them during Driver Appreciation Week. To show our drivers how much they matter, we’re raising the pay of every driver in our fleet during this week.
TMC’s Percentage Pay System
At TMC, we don’t pay drivers based on seniority or the number of miles they drive. Our performance-based percentage pay system rewards drivers who work hard and make smart choices while they’re on the road.
Our drivers are paid a percentage of each load they haul, and the percentage depends on factors related to each driver’s performance, such as their idle time, gas mileage, and completion of professional training. During Driver Appreciation Week, we are giving every driver an extra percent of each load they deliver.
Why We’re Paying Drivers More
Our drivers work hard, and we wanted to do something for Driver Appreciation Week that would make a difference for every single one of them.
Of course, we’ll still be celebrating the week with giveaways, contests, and activities for drivers, as well as meals at our terminals and offices. Many of our senior leaders will also be out on the road, meeting drivers at customer sites to say thanks face-to-face. But we wanted to do something that would truly show our appreciation to every one of our drivers—and the best way we know how to do that is putting more money in their pockets.

Our drivers truly are the flat-out best, and the hard work they do every day has made TMC a leader in open deck transportation. Increasing drivers’ pay during this week is just one way we’re saying thank you for everything our drivers do for our customers and our company.
